This queen sized quilt was designed for a family member. The aim was inspiration from a Japanese aesthetic maintaining a balanced geometric pattern.

Designed in response to a rainbow quilt challenge with Portland Modern Quilt Guild in 2018-2019. It was inspired by the children’s illustrated story book, The Rainbow Goblins, by Ul de Rico.
Made in 2013 (over the course of 9 months) as a commission for a wedding gift. Finished quilt measures approximately 104" x 104". Quilting was done by Nancy Stovall of Just Quilting PDX.

Dive in to the dozens of cool-colored prints used to make up this unique lap quilt. With a wide range of hues and values within the blue and green color families, this quilt offers depth and movement to any observer.
The quilt measures approximately 46” x 50” and can be used as a small lap or throw quilt, a wall-hanging, to drape over a child’s bed, or really any number of uses you can think of for a patchwork quilt!
Some examples of our quilted place mats, all with reversible option. They primarily fall into two categories: matching - where each mat uses the same fabrics in the same positions on each side; and coordinating - where the fabrics migrate from one position to another on different mats. These are all pieces that were made specifically for clients.
The couple had all of their friends and family send them fabrics after their engagement, which were combined into this wedding quilt. We found a design where they would literally and figuratively be encircled by all those they love.
